The Legion of Mary
Joins Fatima Parish Ministries
Please join Mary’s Army! There is no cost, no dues or supplies to buy to join the Legion of Mary. Its service consists of the daily recitation of the daily prayers of the Legion, the daily Rosary, and apostolic works. The Legion of Mary is one of the largest apostolic organizations of lay people in the Catholic Church. There are over 3 million active members worldwide. It has been active in the United States since 1931, has been approved by the last 6 Popes.
Members strive to grow in holiness through a balanced program of prayer, study, and apostolic work. Three words that describe the Legion of Mary are Prayer, Service, and Evangelization.
Please join the Legion of Mary Prayer Group here at Fatima on Fridays at 1:00 in the Knight Hall Conference room. If you would like to join Mary’s Army and can’t attend the weekly meeting, you can pray at home without doing the works as an auxiliary member. There are two types of membership: Active and Auxiliary. Auxiliary members are the praying wing of the Legion Army, and by their prayers, support active Legionaries in much the same way that an Air Force would support an Army.
By joining this Army, your prayers will be multiplied and united with all the prayers being prayed around the world throughout time! Your help is needed to strengthen Mary’s Army!
Please call or text Hue Prats for information at 337- 442-4121.
