Fatima Parish is currently home to approximately 1457 families, totaling 4748 members. The present day Church and a convent were formally dedicated on November 21, 1958.

Fatima Mercy Works
School & Classroom Supply Drive
Drive Ends July 31, 2019
Fatima Mercy Works is hosting a supply drive to support the students and teachers of Holy Family Catholic School. The school comprises of Pre-K thru 8th grade with 16 classrooms and 265 students.
To ensure a variety of supplies, families are asked to purchase some of the items next to the letter of their last name. You may bring your supplies to Mass and place in the box in front of the St. Joseph Altar.
A, B, C, D, E, F - See Thru and/or Mesh Book sack, 24 count crayons, color pencils, multi-colored card stock, colored file folders, Lysol spray cans, band-aids, antibacterial liquid hand soap.
G, H, I, J, K, L - Wide rule 3 & 5 subject notebooks, wide rule composition notebooks, binder tab dividers with pockets, clear plastic sheet protectors, pocket folders with prongs, glue sticks, scotch tape, paper towels.
M, N, O, P, Q, R - Earbuds, #2 pencils, pencil cap erasers, large rubber bands, manila folders, Lysol wipes, disposable gloves, air freshener, facial tissue.
S, T, U, V, W, XYZ - Ticonderoga Beginner pencils, construction paper, Crayola markers, ink pens, dry erase markers, index cards, staples, pastel colored paper, mouse pads.
For those of you interested in doing a little more, here’s a wish list of items some of the teachers are in need of:
Teacher’s chair (2), dry erase board (2), Single serve coffee maker, Small file cabinet, Gym equipment (balls, jump ropes, hula hoops, etc.), storage bins, US Flag, AA batteries, tape dispenser, electric pencil sharpener (2), Ear or forehead thermometer, 3 hole punch. Our Lady of Fatima Welcomes our new
Pastor, Rev. Msgr. Jefferson DeBlanc, VE
Monsignor Jefferson DeBlanc is a native of St. Martinville, and attended Immaculata Seminary in Lafayette, Holy Trinity Seminary in Dallas, TX, and the University of St. Thomas in Rome. He was ordained on July 1, 1977, and his first assignment was Parochial Vicar (Associate Pastor) of St. Peter Parish in New Iberia. He served at several parishes in Acadiana before being named Pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Henderson in 1989. He went on to serve as Pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Opelousas and most recently at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish in Church Point before joining us here at Our Lady of Fatima. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Msgr. DeBlanc has ministered to the people of our Diocese in a number of capacities. He has served as a member of the Diocesan School Board and as Chancellor of Opelousas Catholic School, and has served as the Priest Liaison on the Diocesan Pastoral Council. He also held the position of Episcopal Vicar of the West Region of the Diocese of Lafayette for a number of years. In addition, he has served as “Faithful Friar” to the Bishop Jeanmard Assembly and Assembly #2213 of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Msgr. DeBlanc is widely respected by his fellow priests, and is known as a collaborative, pious person with a gentle spirit.
